Pygmy Point is a reef dive site along the coast near Manado, in the Bunaken National Marine area, whose name comes directly from the pygmy seahorses found there.
The site's main feature is a large Muricella sea fan at 28 m depth, where the resident pygmy seahorses live. Three large coral blocks sit nearby, and shallower up the reef are extensive fields of hard coral populated by reef fish, nudibranchs, and octopus. Because the principal point of interest lies at maximum depth, the dive is oriented toward advanced divers.
Entry is by boat, consistent with access to the broader Manado and southern Bunaken National Marine Park dive sites in this area.
