The Rigoletto Wreck lies off the Italian coast near the Strait of Messina, in the waters off Sicily, at coordinates placing it close to the volcanic Aeolian region. It sits on a wreck bottom at a maximum depth of around 16 metres and is considered a beginner dive. Divers have reported European conger and mauve stingray jellyfish around the site, and volcanic activity in the area has also been noted as a hazard worth keeping in mind.
