About this site

Siaes Corner is a wall on the outer reef in Palau, dived at 10 to 25 m or more with visibility of 15 to 30 m. Currents run from mild to very strong, so a reef hook is recommended, and it is rated for Advanced Open Water divers, with nitrox advised. The best time to dive it is on the outgoing tide.

The wall is covered in soft and hard coral, with a wall of pyramid butterflyfish and fusiliers along the outside. Hook in when the current picks up and watch grey reef sharks patrol the wall while whitetip sharks rest on the open reef. Barracuda schools and turtles can come close. Whale sharks, tiger sharks and hammerheads show up on lucky days.
