About this site
Tower is a drift dive along a canyon in the Sharm el Sheikh area, named after the large fossil coral tower on the shoreline that marks the site. The dive is rated intermediate.
On the outside left of the canyon a large coral head at 20 to 25 m is covered in glassfish, with red-mouthed groupers trying to shepherd them away from lionfish and trevallies. Past the coral head, an inclined sandy plateau runs from 14 to 25 m, with numerous pinnacles to explore. Groupers are common, and mantas and whale sharks pass through in summer.
