About this site

Amadores is a shore dive in Gran Canaria, sheltered by man-made breakwaters so that it is always calm, free of current and warmer than the eastern sites. The entry is only two to three metres deep over a sandy bottom, which makes it a good place to practise skills and buoyancy. The maximum depth is 12 to 14 m, and it is an easy site for beginners and nervous divers.

Divers ready for deeper water can swim to the outside of the bay, where tropical fish and sometimes larger marine life gather.
