Anemone Reef is a submerged pinnacle located near Phuket, Thailand, completely covered in soft corals and anemones that give the site its name. The pinnacle reaches a maximum depth of 25 metres and is home to a great variety of marine species, making it suitable for all certified divers.
The reef holds an impressive range of marine life, with ghost pipefish, seahorses, frogfish, lionfish, morays, and large schools of snappers and barracudas among the notable sightings. Some species, including ghost pipefish and seahorses, are more reliably spotted during the right season.
The site is reached by boat and dived as a day trip from Phuket. Water temperature ranges from 27–31°C, and the best diving season runs from November to April. While conditions are generally manageable for certified divers of all levels, strong currents can occur at the site.
