Blue Hole is an advanced dive site on Romblon Island in the Sibuyan Sea, central Philippines, known as a dramatic underwater feature that draws divers seeking big-animal encounters beyond the region's typical macro diving. The hole itself descends well past recreational limits, but the surrounding reef and walls offer excellent diving between 15 and 40 metres.
The terrain consists of walls draped with reef and deep reef structure, with the hole opening into depths beyond recreational range while the surrounding walls and reef provide the main diving area down to 30–40 metres. Bottom type is reef throughout the accessible sections.
Reef sharks patrol the deeper sections and barracuda school in open water, alongside deep reef fish. The site is listed among Romblon's pelagic-oriented dives and suits divers wanting big-animal encounters rather than macro subjects, though the reef itself still supports fish life.
Advanced Open Water certification is required, and Nitrox is strongly recommended to extend bottom time safely at depth. The nearest hyperbaric chamber is in Manila, reachable only by charter flight or 12-plus hours by ferry and road, so comprehensive dive insurance with emergency evacuation coverage is essential. Current at the site is light, visibility is good, and water temperature ranges from 26–30°C. The site is best dived during the November–June dry season.
