Carpet Cove is a sheltered dive site in Beqa Lagoon, Fiji, built around the wreck of a 33-metre-long trawler resting at around 28–30 metres on the seafloor. The wreck itself is densely covered in soft corals, and the site extends up to a series of coral bommies between 15 and 30 metres, making it a combined wreck and reef dive in one entry.
The bommies above the wreck are blanketed in sea fans, dendronephthya soft corals, and sponges, while the wreck and surrounding reef hold a strong cast of marine life: barracuda schools appear regularly in the background, white tip reef sharks rest on the seabed, fusiliers move through in vibrant blue schools, and exotics such as leaf scorpionfish pick their way across the structure.
After spending bottom time on the wreck, divers ascend to explore the bommie system, where nutrient-rich currents funnel schooling fish through the area. The site is rated intermediate to advanced due to the depth and the potential for meaningful current; visibility is good and water temperature ranges from 25–30°C, with April through October generally considered the best period for visibility and conditions.
