Chunnel is a cave dive close to Raggies' Cave, with depths between 12 and 17 metres. The name comes from the way sharks move constantly through the waterway, and ragged-tooth sharks patrol the area in numbers alongside tropical fish.
Not much light reaches inside the cave, which can make the dive feel daunting. Turtles have been spotted here, and sand sharks and ribbon-tail rays use the sand patch nearby. Scorpionfish are common, and the reef carries many varieties of wrasse and other tropical reef fish. Coral is sparse because currents sometimes sweep across the reef system.
