About this site
Divers Heaven is a reef about 6 km (3.7 miles) from Alona Beach, a 25 to 30 minute boat ride. Depths run from 5 to 25 m (16 to 82 ft), and it is rated beginner to intermediate.
It is one of the best places to see the jackfish tornado, along with big schools of snapper and other pelagics. Green sea turtles are often spotted, and butterflyfish, damselfish and sweetlips live on the reef.
The shallows suit beginners, while experienced divers can go deeper where currents bring in larger fish. Visibility is generally excellent and the coral gardens are striking.
