Dream Hole is a cave dive site at Manza (Manzamo), Okinawa, Japan, and is considered one of the most popular dive sites in the area. The site takes the form of a vertical chimney descending through the reef from 5 metres down to 23 metres, where it opens into a chamber roughly the size of an average living room at approximately 25 metres depth. From that chamber, two dark tunnels each around 2.5 metres long lead to a final chamber, where the blue light of the exit becomes visible at 27 metres — an opening whose silhouette is said to resemble Pikachu. The interior surfaces are covered in coral and critters throughout the descent.
The site suits experienced divers only; the confined dark tunnels and deep chambers make it unsuitable for beginners, and Advanced Open Water certification is the stated minimum level recommended. The combination of dark passages, tight tunnels, and significant depth are the principal hazards.
Oceanic whitetip sharks are regular visitors at Dream Hole, patrolling the waters around the site. Moray eels hang from the walls inside the structure, and nudibranchs are found along the reef surfaces within the chimney.
Entry to Dream Hole is by boat, and the site is located within a short boat ride of other Manza dive sites.
