Dry Dock is a purpose-sunk artificial reef in Puerto Galera, Philippines, sitting at 21–28 m depth. The structure is a large steel and plywood construction originally designed to lift small boats out of the water; it was deliberately sunk in 1998 to create a man-made reef and has since become completely covered in coral and sea fans.
The wreck itself sits with its bottom at 28 m, and a blue-water descent to around 25 m is required to reach it. The pylons and legs of the former dock form the main structure, and the construction lies adjacent to a small coral reef ridge that divers can visit with time to spare, with a sandy bottom connecting the site to the nearby reef of Lalaguna Point.
The dock hosts a strong cross-section of reef species: sweetlips, batfish, surgeonfish, groupers, and snappers occupy the main structure, while lionfish are found on top of it and large puffer fish and porcupinefish hide between the pylons. Nudibranchs and flatworms cover the legs. The adjacent coral reef ridge is the place to look for octopus, pygmy seahorses, and anemonefish colonies. Frogfish are also recorded at the site.
Currents at Dry Dock can be tough, making this a dive suited to intermediate and experienced divers rather than beginners. It is noted as a good site for nitrox use given the depth and potential bottom time. The site is diveable year-round.
