About this site
Dungon Wall is a wall dive site located just east of Ernie's Cave in the Puerto Galera area, served from the Sabang Beach area. The site begins with a sloping bottom that leads up into a wall, with depths ranging from 8 m to around 27–28 m. A notable feature at 24 m is a lying electric oyster (Ctenoides ales), and the wall itself is heavily decorated with soft corals.
Marine life at Dungon Wall includes lionfish, eels, pygmy seahorses, sea snakes, frogfish, and turtles. Because the site is open to currents, large pelagic fish are also regularly encountered along the wall.
The site is exposed to currents and can experience strong flow, which brings in the pelagic life but also demands solid buoyancy control and dive experience. An intermediate to advanced level of experience is appropriate for this site given the current exposure and depth.
