Fænø Sund is a narrow strait in the Little Belt area of southern Denmark, separating the island of Fænø from the Jutland peninsula near Middelfart and Fredericia. The Little Belt is known for strong tidal currents funneling through such channels, and this stretch of water sits within that broader system, though the site itself is rated beginner and accessible to less experienced divers. Divers here have reported a range of small marine life typical of Danish waters, including lion's mane jellyfish, common sea stars, and several nudibranch species such as the shag-rug nudibranch, Boston Facelina, fuzzy Onchidoris, and red-fingered Coryphella. These finds point to a site better suited to slow, close-focus diving along the bottom than to big animal encounters.
