Grotto sits along the Anilao coast in Mabini, Batangas, on the Luzon side of the Verde Island Passage, an area known for its narrow straits and the marine biodiversity that passage supports. Anilao's dive sites are typically reached by short boat rides from resorts along the Mabini coastline. Divers at Grotto have reported a good range of macro subjects, including Anna's chromodoris nudibranchs, ornate ghost pipefish, painted frogfish, spiny seahorses, squat anemone shrimp, and yellow pygmy gobies, alongside occasional hawksbill turtle sightings.
