Kori Reef is a dive around a rock in the middle of a bay on Crete, a 10 minute boat ride away. Kori means daughter in Greek, and the rock looks like a woman carrying a basket. According to Cretan mythology, she was the daughter of a local farmer who turned to stone because she did not listen to her mother.
Depths run from 10 to 13 metres, where the sand and the outcropping rocky wall give a nice combination of light and colour. It is a dive for people who want a long and pleasant dive, and Open Water certification is enough.
