Les Cambres lies along the rocky coastline near L'Escala, in the Girona province of Catalonia, on Spain's Costa Brava. This stretch of coast sits close to the Montgri massif and the Medes Islands marine reserve, an area known for its rugged limestone shoreline dropping into the Mediterranean. The site reaches a maximum depth of around 30 metres, and divers have reported grouper and Mediterranean red sea stars along the rock.
