Meedhoo Caves is a cave dive site in the Maldives, featuring an intricate series of caves set along a coral-laden reef. The site reaches a maximum depth of 30 metres, with the shallowest point at 5 metres, and is suitable for all levels including beginners.
The caves offer diverse macro life throughout their recesses, with soft and hard corals providing camouflage for small creatures. Divers can expect to encounter fusiliers, octopus, nudibranch, and white tip reef sharks, while stingrays and nurse sharks are also present at the site.
Meedhoo Caves can be dived year-round. The caves themselves provide sheltered pockets where nocturnal species such as stingrays and nurse sharks take rest, making the site particularly rewarding for those exploring its darker corners.
