About this site
Milaidhoo is the house reef that wraps around the whole of Milaidhoo island in Baa Atoll, a wall of red, orange and yellow soft corals with large overhangs, most of them along the north side. Access is easy.
It is best dived with a light to medium current so that the soft corals open up. It is a good night dive and a good site for macro photography, with nudibranchs on the wall.
Bottlenose dolphins, lemon sharks, turtles and octopus are among the special encounters, along with gold-spot emperors, schooling bannerfish, black pyramid butterflyfish, bluestripe snappers and long-jawed mackerel.
