Punta Nera is a rocky point on San Pietro Island, off the southwest coast of Sardinia in the province of Carbonia-Iglesias. The island sits within the Sulcis archipelago, and its shoreline is characterized by granite cliffs dropping into the Mediterranean. The site is a cave dive reaching a maximum depth of around 41.1 metres, rated beginner despite this. Divers have reported fried egg jellies, grouper, mauve stinger jellyfish, and nurse sharks around the site, and some have noted depth, the overhead environment, and strong current as hazards worth being aware of inside the cave.
