Pyramids is a deep site off the northwest coast of Lombok, favoured by technical divers. The dive starts at around 30 m on a narrow ridge that slopes downward, with the east side dropping into a wall covered in gorgonian fans and black coral. Ledges and massive boulders form pyramid shapes that descend to 130 m, and the average depth is 60 m. There are also flat sandy areas with swim-throughs and canyons.
The deep wall is littered with coral-strewn boulders and ends in a huge pinnacle called the Lighthouse, where large shoals of fish, sharks and eagle rays gather. Pelagics and reef fish are plentiful. The descent is a negative entry in blue water, and the ascent is a drifting one, with decompression done on a surface marker buoy.
