About this site
Redang is an island on the east coast of Peninsular Malaysia, one of the islands there known for extensive coral gardens and varied marine life.
Turtles are a regular feature, with good chances of swimming or diving alongside them, and they can be seen at Redang. The waters are shallow, which makes the island a good place to learn to dive, and the reefs are graded beginner.
Divers have also reported white-tip and black-tip reef sharks, rays, barracudas and jackfish around the reefs.
