About this site

Rubiah Jetty is a shallow reef dive site located off the jetty at Rubiah Island, Pulau Weh, Indonesia, with a depth range of 5–18 metres. The site features a gentle sandy slope bordered by fringing hard corals, with deeper areas revealing staghorn coral fields. Several artificial reef structures have been placed here to provide shelter and feeding grounds for marine life and to encourage coral growth.

The reef holds a solid variety of easily spotted species: colourful reef fish share the site with lionfish, scorpionfish, trumpetfish, pufferfish, and blue-spotted stingrays, making it a reliably productive dive even for those spending time between skills practice.

Rubiah Jetty is rated easy and is considered an ideal training site, making it well suited to beginner divers and those on introductory dives. Experienced divers will still find the artificial structures and resident species rewarding enough to revisit.
