About this site
Sail Rock is a dive site reached on trips from Koh Samui and Koh Tao, known for whale shark sightings. One diver saw a whale shark directly beneath them at the start of the first dive here, and others have seen whale sharks on their days at the rock.
The current is strong. Giant groupers, trevally, barracuda, giant moray eels, batfish and fusiliers are found around the reef, and the dive is rated beginner.
