About this site

Seraya Secrets is a macro dive site in the Tulamben area of Bali, where the bottom is dark volcanic sand rather than colourful coral. It is a favoured site for macro photographers, and the animals sought include frogfish, ghost pipefish, mimic octopus and harlequin shrimp.

Night dives bring out vibrant mollusks and other small creatures that stay hidden by day. Depths reach about 30 metres, with light current, good visibility and water of 26 to 30 °C. Seahorses, pygmy seahorses, leaf fish and leopard morays have also been reported, and the macro season runs from April to November.
