Sharm Anbaut lies along Egypt's Red Sea coast, in the same stretch of southern Red Sea coastline that draws divers to the region. It is a reef site rated as a beginner dive. Divers here have reported a wide range of life on the reef, including bluespotted fantail rays, green sea turtles, grouper, moray eels, and Indian lionfish, along with exquisite butterflyfish, red sea bannerfish, spotted porcupinefish, and golden-striped mackerel. Spinner dolphins have also been noted passing through the area.
