About this site
Solangon is a gently sloping reef dive on the island of Siquijor in the Philippines. You can drop deeper than 15 m (49 ft), but there is little reason to, as the interest lies between 5 and 15 m (16 to 49 ft).
In that band the bottom is a mix of soft coral patches, coral platforms and barrel sponges. Moray eels, anemonefish, lionfish, rockcod and barracuda are all resident here.
Currents are usually weak or absent, which makes Solangon a good choice for beginners and easy for snorkelling too.
