Spacazzi lies along the volcanic coastline of Ustica, a small island off northern Sicily in the Tyrrhenian Sea, within the waters of one of Italy's first marine reserves. The site sits among the rocky formations that drop into deep water typical of the island's shore, and is reached by boat from Ustica's harbor. Divers here have reported comber, painted comber, European parrotfish, Mediterranean rainbow wrasse, and ornate wrasse among the rocks, along with mauve stinger jellyfish, purple sea stars, and star coral.
