The Aquarium is a shallow reef dive site located on the west side of Catalina Island in the Dominican Republic, starting at around 8 metres (26 feet) and descending to a maximum depth of 12 metres (39 feet). It is widely regarded as one of the best dive sites in the Dominican Republic and is accessible by boat as part of a Catalina Island excursion.
The site features diverse coral formations alongside a rich variety of marine life. Divers can expect to encounter large schools of blue tangs, along with a wide range of other tropical fish species against a backdrop of colourful coral structures.
The Aquarium is well suited to beginner divers and snorkellers, with its shallow depth and light current making it accessible to those on the PADI Discover Scuba Diving programme (minimum age 10) as well as certified divers. Water temperature sits at 27–28°C and visibility is consistently good.
