Twins is a shallow rock formation dive site located between the three adjoining islands of Koh Nang Yuan, off Koh Tao, Thailand. The site is made up of two main rock formations and a smaller, deeper offshoot, with boulders ranging from 5 m to 18 m depth. The rocks are set into white sandy patches, and the terrain is calm and protected, making Twins one of Koh Tao's most popular sites and well suited to beginner divers and Open Water training dives.
The sandy areas between the three pinnacles are home to hundreds of shrimp gobies and their blind shrimp partners, a symbiosis easily observed at close range. Regular sightings include saddleback clownfish (anemonefish), blue-spotted stingrays, blue-ringed angelfish, six-barred angelfish, gobies, grouper, white-eyed moray eels, yellow boxfish, titan triggerfish, wrasses, and yellow raccoon butterflyfish. A resident pair of saddleback clownfish occupies an anemone protected by a ring of stones.
Conditions at Twins are sheltered and accessible year-round, with water temperatures between 27 and 30°C and light currents. Visibility is generally good. The maximum depth of 18.5 m and calm nature of the site place it firmly in beginner territory, with no experience beyond Open Water level required.
