Batu Malang is a dive site at Pulau Tenggol, Malaysia, known as one of the most reliable locations in the marine park for sea turtle encounters. Both green turtles and hawksbill turtles are present at Tenggol; green turtles are more commonly seen resting on the reef or grazing on seagrass, while hawksbills are more often spotted picking sponges from reef surfaces. The season runs from March to October, and multiple turtle sightings in a single dive day are not unusual at Batu Malang.
The turtles at Tenggol, including those at Batu Malang, are habituated to divers who maintain distance and move slowly, meaning they typically linger rather than swimming off immediately.
