Black Rock, also known as Ulua Cave, is a wall and cavern dive site featuring a large underwater cavern system. The wall runs from 40 feet (about 12 metres) down to 90 feet (about 27 metres), and the main cavern measures approximately 100 feet (30 metres) long by 50 feet (15 metres) wide. One side of the cavern has collapsed, creating multiple easy entry and exit points, while the adjacent wall leads to a second large cavern that is open on three sides.
The cavern system supports a notable range of marine life. White-tip reef sharks and turtles are regularly found inside, along with hard coral polyps growing on the ceiling, spiny lobsters, and Kona crab.
The site is rated for beginner divers, and conditions are best in winter.
