About this site
Boca Sami is a working fishermen's cove rather than a tourist beach, with colourful fishing boats and vendors selling fresh catch. There is no wide sandy beach. The snorkelling is around the edges of the bay, where the fishing activity has not disturbed the reef, and it offers modest coral and reef fish, with the occasional larger fish drawn in by the fishing.
Close to the cove, several natural rock arches form short underwater tunnels in the eroded coastal rock. Their biology is less diverse than the reef, but the topography is the attraction. They are for calm weather only, since surge can be a factor and conditions change quickly.
