Breakers Reef is one of the most popular reef dives in Palm Beach County, Florida, off West Palm Beach. It is a reef line running north to south in 50 to 65 feet (15 to 20 metres) of water, and a favourite drift dive for Open Water divers. It is named after the Breakers Hotel, and many boats drop divers on a spot called Fourth Window, which lines up with the fourth window on the north section of the hotel.
The ledge on the west side, 5 to 10 feet (1.5 to 3 metres) high, is the shallowest point and has the most marine life. The deeper backside to the east suits divers who want to spearfish or hunt lobster. In spring and summer the site is packed with loggerhead, green and hawksbill sea turtles.
