About this site
Carib Point is a wall dive at the tip of the point off Roatan, Honduras, also dived as Carib Wall. The wall is a dramatic vertical reef, running from about 9 m to over 30 m (30 to 100 ft), with a slightly inclined upper plateau at 9 to 12 m (30 to 40 ft) that makes it accessible to a range of experience levels. It is just a few minutes outside the bay.
The currents here have made it a good place for deep-water sea fans, and they thrive in impressive numbers. Creole wrasse, blue chromis, yellowtail snapper and black durgeon school in large concentrations. Inshore of the wall, Media Luna is a half-moon-shaped plateau with overhangs, ledges and canyons, where eagle rays and the occasional reef shark cruise the deeper sections.
