Dived here today? How were conditions vs. what we showed?
Carib Sands sits along the western coast of Jamaica in Saint James parish, in the waters off the Montego Bay area of the Caribbean Sea. Dive operators based around this stretch of coastline typically run short boat trips out to the reef. Divers here have reported finger coral, lobed star coral, and mustard hill coral forming the reef structure, along with Atlantic blue tang, redband and striped parrotfish, Brazilian ocean surgeonfish, and the occasional Caribbean land hermit crab or West Indian fuzzy chiton among the rubble and rock.
