About this site
Cathedral is a canyon and cliff dive reaching from 15 m to a maximum of 60 m, described as a very diverse site with lots of different things happening along its walls and cave sections. The route loops around, making navigation straightforward despite the complexity of the terrain, which includes canyon walls, caves, and significant vertical relief.
The dive is rated for advanced divers only, reflecting both the depth range and the overhead sections encountered in the cave portions of the site. Surge is a noted hazard, and divers should be comfortable managing buoyancy in confined spaces before attempting Cathedral.
Marine life at Cathedral includes rays and tuna visible out in the blue, alongside a broad variety of reef life along the canyon walls. The clear water makes spotting pelagics in open water a realistic prospect on a good day.

Conditions are generally best between June and September, with water temperatures running between 24 °C and 27 °C. Visibility is great when conditions cooperate, contributing to the appeal of watching pelagics in the blue beyond the canyon edges.
