Chun Zumbul lies off the coast of Quintana Roo, along Mexico's Caribbean shoreline on the Yucatan Peninsula. It sits over a reef bottom with a maximum depth of around 12 metres, making it a shallow dive suited to beginners, with light current allowing an easy, relaxed pace along the reef. Divers here have reported Atlantic sergeant majors and French grunts moving over the reef structure.
