Daquit Shoal lies off the northeast coast of Siquijor in the Philippines, roughly east of Enrique Villanueva. It is too far from land to dive from shore, so it is a boat dive, but it is easy to find because the top of the shoal sits at just 5 metres, which also makes it a good snorkelling site. Depth runs from 5 to 25 metres.
The highlights are two cathedrals, spectacular overhangs at around 20 to 25 metres. Current is usually weaker at the cathedrals but can be strong elsewhere on the shoal, so check the tide tables.
Expect big barrel sponges and corals, plenty of anthias and damselfish, and blueside wrasse.
