Divetech House Reef at Lighthouse Point lies in West Bay, Grand Cayman, and is reached straight from shore by a purpose-built staircase with handrails and a wide platform for putting on fins. Coral begins almost immediately, so there is hardly any surface swim.
Depths run from 6 to 24 metres (20 to 80 feet). There is no current, the surface is calm for most of the year, and visibility is great, often more than 30 metres (100 ft+). Even in moderate waves, entry and exit stay easy.
Healthy soft coral formations cover the reef, which holds turtles, stingrays, moray eels and schools of reef fish, with plenty of small macro life for those who look closely. The site can be dived by day or at night, and night dives bring bioluminescence.
