Double Caves is a swim-through and cavern dive site featuring two large cavern systems connected by swim-throughs. The site reaches 50 to 90 feet (roughly 15 to 27 metres) and is built around dramatic topography rather than a conventional wall or reef. These are not true caves — no overhead environment training is required — but the cavern formations create striking light effects and varied structure that set the site apart from standard wall dives in the area.
Marine life congregates heavily around the cavern openings. Large groupers — Nassau, black, and tiger groupers, some individuals exceeding 50 pounds — are a constant presence. Sharks cruise regularly past the entrances, and lobsters and colourful sponges fill the cavern interiors.
The site suits adventure-seeking divers and underwater photographers drawn to the interplay of light inside the formations. Its depth and character make it best suited to intermediate or more experienced divers.
