Durdle Door is a reef dive around the famous Durdle Door arch, to a listed depth of 25 metres. The dive runs between 12 and 25 metres over a rocky reef that is fairly sheltered from waves and currents underwater.
There is lots of life on the rocky reef, and lobsters, crabs and dogfish are common here. If conditions are right, it is possible to start the dive in Lulworth Cove and swim under the arch.
Currents can take divers in either direction, so a deployed surface marker is essential.
