El Natural is a shore-entry coral reef dive site located in Aguadilla, on Puerto Rico's west coast. The reef tops out at a shallow depth of around 40 feet (12 metres), making it accessible to divers of most skill levels, including beginners. Because the site is unmarked, finding the correct entry point can be tricky, and diving with a local guide is strongly recommended.
The reef is characterized by massive coral formations that provide structure and shelter across the site. Coral structures create refuge for a wide variety of species, and the overall environment feels active with movement throughout the water column.
Marine life at El Natural is a strong draw: hawksbill turtles, stingrays, nurse sharks, rays, and reef fish are frequently seen here. Turtles and rays are commonly encountered cruising through the reef, while fish shelter among the coral structures.
Entry is from shore, and currents at the site are generally gentle, contributing to its suitability for less experienced divers. Conditions along Puerto Rico's west coast are typically best between December and April, when waters are calm and visibility is at its peak.
