Fushi Kandu is a channel dive on Vaavu Atoll, one of the passages cutting through the Felidhu Atoll rim where the inner lagoon exchanges water with the open sea. Kandu sites in this part of the Maldives are known for drift diving along the channel edges, with strong tidal currents that pull divers past coral outcrops and overhangs, and grey reef sharks and other pelagics are commonly reported passing through such channels.
