La Reina is a small islet off the northern point of Isla Cerralvo, also called Jacques Cousteau Island, in Baja California Sur, Mexico. It is a rock formation dive in about 80 ft (24 m) of water, rated Open Water.
The rock formations include a submarine canyon, whose vertical surfaces are carpeted in sea fans and colourful sponge colonies. A small number of California sea lions have taken refuge at the islet, which fits the biological richness of the site. Turtles, schools of tropical fish and a variety of corals are also found here.
Giant oceanic manta rays (Mobula birostris) can be encountered at La Reina from July to October, and the site is counted among the most beautiful in the area.
