About this site

Las Palmas is an easy reef dive on Cozumel at 12 to 21 metres, rated beginner and usually done as a second dive. The current is light to moderate and can change direction.

Brain coral, rope sponges and rough tube sponges cover the site. Turtles, honeycomb cowfish and parrotfish are seen, and lobsters and angelfish shelter under the coral. An occasional splendid toadfish turns up.
