Middle Shoal Reef sits along Jamaica's coastline in the Caribbean Sea, with a maximum depth of around 31 metres over a reef bottom. It's rated as a beginner dive, making it accessible for those with less diving experience. Divers have reported a good range of life here, including flying gurnard, nurse sharks, scorpionfish, French grunt, and both redband and striped parrotfish, along with lettuce coral and lobed star coral on the reef structure itself. The West Indian fuzzy chiton has also turned up for divers willing to look closely among the rock and coral.
