Pericles Wreck is a ship wreck off Qatar. The vessel was on its way to Aden from Umm Said (Mesaieed) when a fire broke out in the engine and the crew abandoned her. She was towed for salvage, but the fire ended the salvage effort and the Pericles eventually sank.
The wreck now lies upside down. Although the ship once floated upright, she has settled into the seabed over time. The shallowest parts are the stern keel and rudder, in 12 m of water. The general depth around the wreck is 28 m.
Features. A five-bladed propeller, about 20 feet in diameter, is still intact and impressive in clear visibility. There is a significant scour under the stern, and an even larger one at the bow. The bow section is partially buried in sand.
