Pos

Pos is a dive site in the Dog Islands in the British Virgin Islands, sitting in an area of strong tidal flow that makes it one of the fishiest sites in the group. The depth runs from 40 ft (12 m) at the shallowest to 85 ft (25.9 m) at the bottom.

The powerful currents that rip through Pos funnel a constant supply of food to its residents, which is why the site supports an unusually high concentration of fish life. Large barracudas are regular visitors, along with surgeon fish, red snapper, mackerel, white tip sharks, and grey reef sharks. Because the site depends entirely on current to deliver its productivity, diving here is only possible when conditions permit.

Pos is rated intermediate and is suited to divers comfortable with strong water movement. The currents that make the site rewarding also make it demanding, and timing the dive to current conditions is essential.
