Sea Quest is a boat-access dive site located between West End and West Bay on Roatan's western shore, roughly a five-minute ride from the area's dive shops. The site is divided into a shallow section and a deep section, each marked by its own mooring line. The terrain consists of sandy plateaus surrounded by patch reef and shallow walls, with the deep section flowing out to a short wall; the deep mooring line is set at 12 m (40 ft), producing a deeper profile overall, while the shallow section stays well within beginner range. A notable feature is the Roatan Marine Park's coral nursery, where fragments of opportunity are rescued and new coral fragments are propagated for reef restoration.
The sandy bottom with coral outcrops makes Sea Quest a relaxed, low-stress dive, and current is light across the site. The shallow section is well suited to new divers, while the deeper wall profile gives more experienced divers a reason to explore further. Beyond the extended bottom time and no-decompression limits that come with the deeper mooring, the site presents no advanced challenges.
Marine life at Sea Quest includes stingrays, turtles, and grouper moving across the sandy and reef terrain.
